LEAD OnBoard

LEAD OnBoard (formerly the Board Partnership Initiative) was created by the Class of 2000 to connect LHR graduates with non-profit boards throughout Hampton Roads. More than 700 graduates have joined organizations across the region to lend their business expertise and community awareness for one year assignments. Many continue to serve on the same boards that they were placed on through this program.

We are currently seeking boards for the program. If you think your board would benefit by participating, please contact Annette Hull at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

The impact of LEAD OnBoard...
"Music had always been a very important part of my life.  But after business school, work and family obligations seemed to leave little time for my music.  Thanks to LEAD's board partner program, I was introduced to the Academy of Music, a not-for-profit community music school in Hampton Roads with outreach programs to children in some of the most challenged neighborhoods in our community.  Having the opportunity to marry my passion for music with my professional skills in support of such an organization's efforts was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.  This year I will rotate off of the board after 12 years of service."
